Our client’s home is secluded and sits atop a hill in the Calistoga mountain region with stunning views of the Napa Valley wine country. After a local home designer provided the basic architectural design of the home, Douglah Designs was engaged to tweak the interior spaces, as well as select all the fit and finish for the interior and exterior of the home.
Our clients expressed their love for the wine country chic design aesthetic and the desire to bring this style into their new home. We delivered this by focusing our design choices on neutral colors while weaving in some rustic elements into every corner of the house, including the living room center ridge beam, fireplace mantle, wood flooring, reclaimed vanity in the powder room, the split face natural stone at the fireplace wall and even at the exterior of the home.
To capture the stunning views, a back deck was created, fully equipped with a built-in BBQ and cabinetry, overhead heaters, and minimalist cable railings so as not to obstruct the view.
The final task encompassed complete home furnishing, sourcing remarkable custom pieces that encapsulate the cozy yet modern essence of Napa Valley.
