Although their home had an excellent open floor plan featuring seamless indoor/outdoor living, the interior needed significant updating. This is a kitchen that feels like the heart of the home. Graceful curves and caramel coffee shades draw you into this family-centric kitchen. The large island serves many purposes, from additional seating to storage and spacious prep space. The countertop is a Naccarato quartzite that isn’t just durable but swirling with beautiful warm brown hues.
The focal point of this space is the stunning custom-cast stone hood with copper accents, contrasting with the creamy inset cabinets flanking it. But what really makes this space special is the hand-painted terracotta backsplash that infuses a distinct and welcoming Mediterranean touch. And let’s not forget those fantastic lantern pendants. Decorative curves combine with clean lines to create the perfect blend of modern meets traditional.
Upscale Mixed Materials
What’s one sure way to make your space feel upscale? Mixed materials. And this home is chock-full of curated textures, materials, and metals that create the Mediterranean vibe.
Let’s start with the exposed reclaimed wood beams that line the dining room ceiling and living room. This gorgeous feature adds depth, history, and character into this home. The dark chestnut beams seamlessly complement the luxuriously warm hardwood floors below for a cohesive aesthetic.

With expansive folding windows off the kitchen, the breakfast nook doubles as an outdoor eatery. The house also wraps around a charming courtyard featuring comfortable seating and a delightful copper fountain that mimics the metal details throughout the rest of the home.
