Owner & Lead Designer
Leila founded Douglah Designs in 1997 in Lafayette, California and has developed the business into a successful and well known full service design-build firm. With over 25 years in the design industry, Leila is not only a Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer and a Certified Interior Designer, but also a licensed general contractor with a formal education in Architecture. As one of the firm’s lead designers, Leila enjoys working directly with clients as well as continuing to foster the growth of her company. She recently opened a new showroom, Luxe Home by Douglah Designs, in the heart of Lafayette, which is truly a one-stop-shop for luxury home products of all kinds. In addition to her work at Douglah Designs and Luxe Home, she also loves to support her local community and not only has she served as the President of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce in 2013, but was also named Lafayette’s business person of the year in 2015.
Designer & Sales Associate
Laura assists clients in creating beautiful spaces with our wide-range of luxurious products. Laura received her Certification in Interior Decorating in 2004 and is currently working toward her Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD) Certification. She has had experience in many facets of interior design, from residential kitchen and bath design to large scale corporate design projects. Laura currently serves on the Board of Directors for the non-profit, Allie’s Pals Cat Rescue, and volunteers her time with fostering adult cats and hosting fundraisers. Laura is also fluent in Spanish and is happy to assist our bilingual customers.
Designer & Sales Associate
Linda has been working with Douglah Designs for four years and has worked in the kitchen and bath industry since 2007. She enjoys the structural aspect of design and has a proficient background in plumbing. Linda also has experience in whole home design, custom cabinetry solutions and has a strong eye for color with a talent for putting unique palettes together for her clients.
Construction Manager & Project Manager
Bobby has been with Douglah Designs for seven years as our Construction Manager and recently took on the role of Director of Operations. He has been a licensed general contractor since 2005 and has worked in the residential remodeling business since he was 18 years old. Bobby is devoted to each of our projects and strives to bring the finest craftsmanship into every home.
Assistant Construction Manager
Patrick joined the Douglah Designs team in 2017 and has recently moved into the role of Project Manager. With over 35 years of experience and with several different trades under his belt, he has the ability to identify and offer efficient and effective solutions to any challenges that may come up on the job site. His ultimate goal with each project and client interaction is to deliver the Douglah Designs “WOW” experience to the best of his ability and to make sure the client is well pleased with every effort.
Lillian is a recent graduate of California State University-Sacramento where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design with a Concentration in Interior Architecture. During her college career, Lillian held an internship with a commercial design firm in Sacramento prior to working in her desired field of residential design. Shortly after graduation, Lillian joined the Douglah Designs team as an Assistant Designer and is looking forward to growing her career in residential design.
Rachel joined the Douglah Designs team as an Intern during her last semester of college and accepted a full time Assistant Designer position after graduation. Rachel graduated from California State University, Sacramento where she attained a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design with a Concentration in Interior Architecture. She has received a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Certification in Architectural Engineering and also ended her college career receiving an award for the Best Interior Designer Portfolio from the Department of Design in the Spring of 2017. Rachel is proficient in 3D drafting, palette and material selection. She is also one of Douglah Designs marketing specialists.
Accounts Manager & Cabinet Specialist
With 20 years of experience in custom cabinetry and interior design, Lisa assists the designers with all details involved in pricing and placing cabinet orders, ensuring fit and function. As well, Lisa manages our accounts payable and receivable department.
With her attention to detail and over 25 years in the design industry, Diane handles the purchasing and coordination of all our projects. Diane is NCIDQ certified and has a strong background in both architecture and interiors.
Renee Maciel Cutrell
HR professional with over 10 years’ experience mostly working in technology and hospitality companies, and over 20 years’ experience leading teams. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources Management, from Golden Gate University, San Francisco, California. Renee is a member of The Society for Human Resources Management and is a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) credential holder. Renee possesses expertise in several aspects of human resources and has proven success in implementing change to achieve workforce excellence.
Nancy brings her lifelong love for design and her experience with countertops and solid surfaces to Douglah Designs. Nancy is the smiling face greeting you at the door, and she supports potential and existing clients as well as the Douglah Designs team. She notes, “If there is anything at all that I can help you with, just ask!”
Rob has worked with several different contractors on many Douglah Design projects prior to coming on board exclusively four years ago. Working as our construction coordinator/estimator, Rob is a licensed general contractor who brings 25 years of construction experience to our company. Rob also holds a liberal studies/human development degree with honors from Cal State East bay. He believes in providing the best craftsman ship and quality for all our clients.
Rob has been a part of the Douglah Designs team since September of 2014. With over ten years of experience in the warehouse and receiving/delivery industry, Rob’s excellent organizational skills are key to keeping jobs running smoothly with regards to receiving product, inspecting for damage and getting it out to the jobsites efficiently and in perfect condition. He enjoys a fast paced work environment and the constant movement and change involved with home renovations.
